We usually recommend that you have at least three wedding dress fittings, Therefore, you must book with us ideally at least 12 weeks before your wedding day.
On rare occasions 2 fittings may be enough. Custom design or challenging changes of original design may require 4-5 fitting.
When to book - brides
–> Collect your dress from bridal shop - contact us
–> 12 weeks before wedding - 1st fitting
–> 6 weeks before wedding - 2nd fitting
–> 2 weeks before wedding - 3rd fitting (final payment and collection possible at this point)
When to book - proms
–> Collect your dress from shop - contact us
–> 6 weeks before prom - 1st fitting
–> 4 weeks before prom - 2nd fitting (final payment and collection possible at this point)
Important information
Punctuality
Being punctual for wedding dress fitting dates is incredibly important, especially during peak wedding season when demand for alterations is high. We often have very busy schedule and may have multiple appointments scheduled each day. Arriving on time or even a few minutes early for fittings ensures that the appointment can begin promptly and helps to keep the schedule running smoothly.
In addition, being punctual also allows for ample time for us to complete the alterations in time for the wedding day. Late arrivals or missed appointments can disrupt the schedule and may lead to delays in completing the alterations. This can be especially problematic if the wedding is approaching quickly and there is limited time to make necessary adjustments to the dress.
Amending booked slots
If changes to the appointment are necessary, it’s important to communicate these as soon as possible to us and to be prepared for the possibility that the appointment may not be able to be rescheduled.
It’s important to note that changing dates or amending booked slot for bridal alterations can be very limited. As mentioned before, we often have very busy schedule, and may have multiple appointments scheduled each day. This means that there may not be a lot of flexibility when it comes to rescheduling appointments or changing dates.
Deposit
It’s also important to be aware that we require a deposit or payment in advance to secure an appointment slot. This is to ensure that we are compensated for our time, especially if a client cancels at the last minute or fails to show up for a scheduled appointment.
