From early childhood, I knew what I wanted to be:
A dressmaker
Playing with my grandma’s old Singer sewing machine and dressing dolls – that was my game. I followed this dream and am formally educated as the dressmaker.
After school, I went to work for an independent fashion boutique in my birth town.
The boutique was owned by a local fashion designer and I helped to materialise her ideas into high-quality women’s garments. This was a great experience and taught me all the important techniques, skills and eye for detail needed to produce excellent cloth.
Experience
I have vast experience in dressmaking, alterations, and even industrial sewing. I started MariaDressmaking in 2016 after a 14 years working for various businesses. I provide following services:
- Alterations of bridal dresses, evening dresses, prom dresses
- Bespoke garments
- Alterations for ladies and men
- Tailoring for ladies and men
- Soft furnishing

I have the experience of working on various types of fabric. My ability to work to a factory finish sets me apart. That means that I match the original stitch pattern perfectly on any alterations I perform and everything will be unnoticeable and untraceable.
